Minimum fundraising commitment through donations or pledges is only $200 in addition to the initial pledged donation/FirstGiving registration fee of $50 ($250 total). Participants raising in excess of $500 in donations will receive an embroidered Ride Aroostook Top Fundraiser hoodie sweatshirt. Balance is due up to/during time of event check-in. Individuals or organizations can donate or pledge to you as a tax- deductible gift.
There are new Discounted Fundraising Option packages available this year:
Couples: $400 total
Family (3 or more): $600 total
Local Riders (Not taking advantage of lodging/meals; except Potato Bar, BBQ): $150 total
As with all events such as Ride Aroostook, there are risks involved. We will require participants to sign a General Liability Waiver at sign in/registration before riding.
We also require that each participant read and initial each statement of the “Ride Aroostook Rules of the Road” document and sign where indicated. Likewise, each participant must sign the “On Best Behavior” agreement. All of these forms can be found for download under Resources: Forms.
To protect your safety and the safety of others, we suggest that your bicycle be inspected by a certified bike shop prior to the event.
We have created a web portal for Ride Aroostook, through “FirstGiving,” which will be available to you for ride registration and fundraising. This web site, which is labeled as the “City of Caribou,” (of which Cary Medical Center is a department) provides you with 24-hour access to your own information including pledges, registration confirmation, and other updates.
Registration will be capped at 250 participants to provide a great experience for all riders. Online or telephone preregistration is highly encouraged for planning purposes, and so you don’t miss out!
